Hello everyone!

Soo, the first week (ok, to be honest "only" 5 days) has already passed by. It's crazy!

I have caught so many different impressions that I think my head is going to explode, it's just a matter of time.

Actually, I wanted to write this Blog Post in German but my brain was full of English words so I thought - why not, I can give it a try;-)

Hmm, where am I going to start?...

To get the previous events under control, I think I should make a list with the days of the week.

Wow, I am such an organized girl. XD

Thursday:

I got up at 7am and ate breakfast with the kids. At 8am we left the house and brought them to school. My host mother tried to show me the different streets and areas in Bedford but my orientation is soo bad. For me, all houses and streets look the same. I feel really sorry for her to repeat her explanations every time we're passing by. In my defence - 98% of the houses are red and made out of bricks!!

At this day, I met the other exchange students and we went on a trip to Milton Keynes. In total we were around 10 girls. Most of them are from Italy and Spain. I felt soo lucky when I got to know Roberta, an Italian exchange student, who is going to attend the same school as I do. We visited the Shopping Centre and I bought some school essentials, cosmetics and a phone case. We ate lunch together (at a really fancy place;-)), played bowling(I won!!;-)), exchanged our phone numbers and went back home. I was very tired, so after dinner I fell asleep very quickly.

Friday:

After my host mum and I had taken the girls to school, I met some exchange students in Bedford to go shopping.

(I knooow, I've already done to much of it;-))

Then we went into a few shops(I also bought some little presents for my host sisters), ate lunch together and talked to each other.

On this day, it was my first time taking a british bus but fortunately I jumped out at the right bus stop.

In the evening I watched a film with my host family. It was an animated movie for children but in fact

it was a little bit scary..haha..

Saturday:

I woke up at 8am and at 9am we ate breakfast as a whole family.(Indeed one host sister was at a sleepover)

At 10.50, I took a bus to Bedford Centre, where I met some of the other exchange students.

(A Swiss girl was there too- I spoke English with her - reallyyy, I promise:))

From there, an other bus took us to Sandy. We had a meeting with our Local Coordinator and I have to say that in the end, the long way was for nothing. She told us things I've already heard a 1000 times before. We returned to Bedford, ate lunch and went home. After I had dinner (my host mother cooks delicious!!!) we turned on the TV, watched the X Factor and had some tea and cake. YES, typical British!!;-))

Sunday:

The night was kind of weird.. I dreamed so many insane things... I woke up very confused and early. After I had cleared my head, I helped my host father making some French Toasts.

Hmmm...they were divine!!

I'm definitely going to gain weight after this exchange...;-)

At 10am, one of my host sisters, my host mum and I went to church. In Switzerland my family visits the church very rarely... Sometimes on Christmas or Easter, that's it. I have to say that the mess here in the Uk is more or less similar to what I used to see in my town.

When we were home again, a big parcel arrived. We opened it and took out a chessboard. Neither my host sister nor I were able to play it so my host dad had to explain it to us. It looked very simple but turned out to be complex and complicated. After playing it for a long time, we finally ate lunch.(Sandwichs, fruits, yoghurts)

On this afternoon, the violin teacher of one of my host sisters had a concert, that's why we left the house at 2:15pm to visit it. The funny thing was that I met two exchange students there. YES guys, remember, the world is small!;)

It was extremely kind of my host mum to drive me around in Tyne Crescent so that I've got to know the place of my school and the bus stop.

The evening passed by quickly and the dinner was very tasty. (As usual!)

I stood a long time in front of my wardrobe to pick the outfit for the first day of school. In this situation a school uniform would be very helpful. Yes, maybe a lot of you are thinking-why???

Without one, you can feel free end express your style but I have to tell you - this is not my case. My school has a strict dress coat with many rules about your outward appearance. But finally, I've made my decision!

Oki, doki, I have to get some sleep now because tomorrow is going to be a very important day...

Keep your fingers crossed for me!!;-)
